26. oK WITH YOU?  Consent to have sex means both partners freely agreeing to have sex.  Consent should always be voluntary, enthusiastic and given without pressure, fear or intimidation. Be sure you want him as much as he wants you. Ask yourself first, “Is this OK with me?” It’s always your choice. Know your rights. And stand up for them. Sex with consent is sexy. Sex without consent is rape. Respect yourself. Respect your partner.

What about ‘man enough to say no?’ Or to not be intimidated by a woman asking you for sex? Communication and consent have to go both ways, and it seems to me to be really important to get that across when so many people have been raised on the ‘he asks, she gate keeps’ scenario.

Anyone who cares for you will not hold you to a promise for sex if you are not ready.
